CRSA INFORMATION

The Congaree Rapid Soccer Association (CRSA) was established in 1993 to serve the central Lexington and Richland Counties' classic soccer league communities. The CRSA is affiliated with the South Carolina Youth Soccer Association (SCYSA), which is a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA). 

CRSA's teams participate in the Mid-District of the SCYSA, which is comprised of clubs from across the Midlands of South Carolina and include associations and clubs from the following areas: Aiken, Barnwell, Chapin, Columbia, Hartsville, Irmo, Kershaw, Lancaster, Lexington, Newberry, North Augusta, Orangeburg, Rock Hill, and Sumter.

CRSA FEES

Registration fees for the 2003 Fall and 2004 Spring seasons include coaching fees, referee fees, Mid-District and State Cup Tournament fees, as well as all League registration dues. The fee for the upcoming Fall season is $295. This fee may be made in three installments:  June 1 - $100, July 1 - $100 and August 1 - $95.

Fees for the Spring season for returning players will be $295, while the fee for first time players will remain at $295 + $100 for uniforms ($395 in all).  All fall season monies must be turned in by August 15, 2003.  Failure to meet this deadline will result in the suspension of the unpaid player.

TEAM FEES

Team expenses will vary from team to team within the club.  Each team will incur expenses for tournament entry fees and for the team coach's hotel room.  (By CRSA Board Policy the cost of a coach's hotel room when his team is participating in a tournament is the responsibility of the team.)

These expenses should be split amongst team members who generally contribute to a team account administered by one of the team parents.  They generally run between $50-$100 per player depending on the number of tournaments at team enters in a season.

MEMORIAL FIELD - "HOME OF THE CONGAREE RAPID"

The Congaree Rapid Soccer Association's home facility will be Memorial Field, located behind Memorial Stadium in the Rosewood community section of Columbia. The CRSA has a contractual agreement with Richland School District One for use of the facility.

Directions to Memorial Field: On Rosewood Drive coming from the SC State Fairgrounds, take a right onto South Holly Street by the Rosewood Shopping Center. Follow South Holly St., down until the ninth street on your right. This will be Airport Boulevard, and you will see Memorial Stadium in front of you on the right. Take a right and then a quick left on the first street you see. Parking will be limited outside of the gate that blocks off the road to through traffic.
